ACE TalkS: speaking at ace

ACE Talks are a series of short, 12- to 15-minute presentations designed to stir your curiosity, invite further investigation and spur future action. The ACE Talk series will bring you some of the most cutting-edge innovators and strategists in healthcare facility design, engineering and capital equipment purchasing.

Each presenter has been identified as a standout leader in his or her professional field by the ACE Board and invited to participate on an approved subject area carefully selected to have broad appeal to ACE attendees. ACE Talks are designed to present “ideas worth spreading” and provide inspiring voices on the challenges and opportunities facing the healthcare facility and capital equipment sector today and in the future.

At ACE, we search for presenters who will inform and inspire, surprise and delight. They are creating ground-breaking models, innovations and collaborations, and are trusted voices in their fields. ACE also seeks out emerging leaders and thinkers, allowing them to utilize ACE Talks as a springboard to future recognition and advances within their arena of expertise.

Suggest a Speaker

If you know someone who belongs on the ACE roster in New Orleans, or if you belong there yourself, we want to hear from you! Please use our Speaker Recommendation Form, and tell us why this person would be well-matched for the ACE Talks stage. Multiple nominations for the same person won't influence the speaker selection team in any way. We review every nomination that comes in, and it only takes one. Speakers selected to present at ACE Talks will be provided a $1,000 stipend.

FAQ: Speaking at ACE Talks

ACE isn't a typical industry conference. The ACE audience has high expectations of the ACE Talk speakers; ACE staff work with speakers well in advance of the Summit to help shape a presentation that will succeed on the ACE Talks stage. ACE Talk is the place to give the talk of your life.

How do I suggest an ACE Talk speaker?

Use our Speaker Recommendation Form, and fill in as much information as you can. This form goes directly to our speaker selection team.

Can I suggest someone I don't know personally? You ask for their email address, and I don't know it.

Please do! Just let us know how you've heard about this person, and why you think they should speak during ACE Talks.

Can I suggest someone I work for, or a client of mine?

Can I suggest myself as a speaker?

Can I speak at ACE by becoming a sponsor?

No. Read more about sponsoring ACE here. Sponsoring ACE has many benefits, but a guaranteed speaking slot is not one of them.

Will it help if I submit multiple nominations or have my colleagues nominate me multiple times?

No. It really only takes one suggestion.

Is there a deadline for suggesting an ACE Talk speaker?

We accept nominations all the time. It's best to get your suggestions to us as early as possible, so we can research them carefully and make the best decision on the speaker roster.

I want to speak during ACE Talks, but my usual presentation runs 50 minutes. Can I get a longer time slot?

We strictly enforce the clock for all speakers. ACE is the place to condense your ideas into a compelling 12- to 15-minute talk that communicates your best ideas. We've found that a carefully prepared presentation of this length can have astonishing impact.

What do you pay speakers?

ACE provides a $1,000 stipend for speakers chosen as presenters during ACE Talks. Other invited speakers are not paid but we do, of course, cover travel costs and provide excellent hotel accommodations—as well as a coveted pass to all three days of ACE. Most speakers will want to stay for all three days of the Summit, soaking up the inspiration and connecting with other fascinating attendees, who range from healthcare executives to construction managers to engineers. We are committed to creating an experience that's tremendously fulfilling and beneficial on all sides.
