In today’s rapidly changing healthcare environment, quick and effective partnerships between the hospital, designers, and the government is vital. This session describes how a needed transformation was done quickly and solved the immediate need, while renovation and upgrades to comply with current codes were performed within 18 months. The presenters will discuss strategies for successful fast-track renovation projects as well as how to identify and prioritize deficiencies in a unit’s existing conditions Building strong partnerships, repurpose design templates, and the two-part process to solve immediate and long-term facility needs will also be discussed.
