
Jim Burger serves as Vice President of Facilities at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. He oversees Parking and Transportation, Grounds, Building Maintenance, Protective Services, Emergency Management, and Environmental Services, ensuring safe, reliable, and welcoming spaces for patients, families, visitors, and staff throughout the organization.
Jim began his career at Cincinnati Children’s on February 6, 1986, starting as a technician and steadily advancing through leadership roles. His nearly four decades of service have provided deep institutional knowledge and a strong understanding of frontline operations, infrastructure, and service delivery.
In his current role, Jim leads multidisciplinary teams that support clinical care, emergency preparedness, safety, and daily hospital operations. He emphasizes accountability, collaboration, and operational excellence while aligning facilities services with organizational priorities. Jim remains committed to supporting the hospital’s mission to improve child health and transform care delivery for families and communities across the region every day through long-term planning and continuous improvements.
