
Mike Hodges is Vice President of Public Safety for Piedmont Healthcare, Georgia’s largest healthcare provider. With over 20 years of security experience, Mike oversees security and emergency management for 22 hospitals, over 40,000 employees, and billions in assets. He holds a master’s degree in executive leadership and is credentialed as a Certified Healthcare Protection Administrator (IAHSS) and Certified Protection Professional (ASIS). Mike has served in every role within security, from frontline officer to executive leader, and is a recognized advocate for advancing healthcare security. Through the International Association for Healthcare Safety and Security, he helped develop the Workplace Violence Certificate program, led the Threat Assessment and Management in Healthcare training initiative, and currently chairs the Education Council. In addition to these roles, Mike has published in multiple journals and spoken in multiple venues as a strong advocate for safety and security in healthcare.
