Description

The healthcare provider field can present unique challenges to ensuring safety and security and protecting a facility’s staff, visitors, and patients. This session will highlight the use of design, technology, and staffing in new or renovated healthcare spaces to improve safety and security, maximize the utilization of human resources, and manage operational costs while improving customer service, and employee and patient satisfaction.

1. Considerations for evaluating existing security protocols and systems to identify cost-effective, high-impact improvement opportunities

2. Develop business processes to implement during the design process to ensure workplace safety

3. Explore opportunities to collaborate with clinicians and staff to meet their safety needs
