Getting to First Patient and First Payment: How Integration
Drives Project Success
May 22 | 12 PM (EDT)
In today’s high-stakes healthcare environment, delivering a capital project that’s both operationally ready and financially viable requires more than good design—it requires integration on a deeper level. This session explores how early alignment across planning, design, equipment, technology, activation, and regulatory teams eliminates costly handoffs, reduces rework, and accelerates the journey to first patient and first payment.
Attendees will learn how Integrated Project Teams (IPTs) drive shared accountability, streamline delivery, and ensure that what gets built is truly ready for care.
Learning Objectives:
1. Understand the structure and value of an Integrated Project Team for healthcare capital projects.
2. Identify key roles—strategic, clinical, technical, regulatory—and how to bring them in early and effectively.
3. Explore how IPTs reduce project friction, enable concurrent planning, and accelerate time to value.
4. Learn strategies to embed transition and activation planning into early design conversations.
